Policies
Your Library Card: One free card is issued upon registration of your name, phone number, proof of current address, and a picture identification is presented. For children under 18, an adult must verify the information given for the library card. Card must be presented to borrow materials. Card is invalidated if fines are .10 and up. Replacement fee is $2.00.
New User Registrations: will be limited to 5 items for the first 30 days, with no Audio book, or DVD/Blu-Ray loans.
FINES AND FEES: Your signature on the library card is a
valid agreement to be responsible for all damages and/or loss of materials. While there are no Fines for overdue items, Users with overdue items charged to their card can not check out new materials. User agrees to give immediate notice of a lost card or change in address.
LOST or DAMAGED ITEM POLICY: You are responsible for the replacement cost of any library material lost or damaged while charged to your card. Library privileges are invalidated until lost item is paid for in full. No refunds will be given after payment has been received.
Services
Books have a 28 day loan period. Items will auto renew up to 4 times, unless there is a hold on that item.
Magazines circulate for 28 days. Items will auto renew up to 4 times, unless there is a hold on that item.
DVDs (See DVD policy.)
Blu-rays (identical to DVD policy)
Audio Books on CD circulate for 28 days. Items will auto renew up to 4 times, unless there is a hold on that item.
WiFi HOTSPOTS are available to check out for 7 days. A user agreement must be signed before circulation. Users must be 18 yrs or over, borrower is monetarily responsible for any damages or loss of items.
Reference books are marked with an “R” and may be used only in the library. These include encyclopedias, atlases, almanacs, and dictionaries.
B&W Copies: .20 cents per 8 1/2” x 11”
.30 cents per 8 1/2” x 14”
.40 cents per 11” x 17”
Color Copies: .50 cents per 8 1/2” x 11”
Telefax Service: $2.00
Internet access is available. Patrons under the age of 18 must have a signed parental or guardian consent to access the internet.
Permission slips are kept on file.
Wireless Internet Access is available in the library and community room. This free service is available to any patron with a compatible device. All library internet polices apply.
Ellison machine and die cuts are available for public in house use.
Docubind machine that uses plastic combs is available. Ask at the circulation desk for supply costs.
Remote access to the library catalog can be accessed from our web page. A valid
Evergreen Community Library card and personalized pin number are required to access patron account.
Community Room
The Community Room will accommodate up to 80 people and is available for library programming and public use. For rental arrangements, contact Karen Siefker at karen.siefker2@gmail.com or by calling the library at 419-644-2771.
DVDs & Blu-rays
Borrowers must have a valid library card to check out DVDs. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for selections made by minors under the age of 18. Signed permission is kept on file.
Loan Period: 7 days.
DVDs that are a season, or series have a 14 day loan period.
Four DVDs may be checked out per library card.
If a DVD is lost or damaged through neglect, charges will be the
replacement cost. Viewing audience is
at the discretion of the borrower. The library assumes no responsibility.
Evergreen Community Library Board and the staff are not responsible for any
damage to equipment as a result of the use of any media borrowed from the
library.
