Parade

Kids are invited to decorate & ride their bikes in the parade with us.   If you plan to ride your bicycle in the Party In the Park Parade on 6/13, you can sign-up & pick up some decorations from us during the week of June 8-12. If you want to ride, but do not want/need the offered supplies, you still MUST sign-up so that we have an accurate count.  Children 10 and over can join us in the parade without a parent or guardian.  Families with children under age 10 are welcome to join us, but a parent/guardian must accompany them.  You can add more USA décor to your bike if you would like.  Please decorate in good taste & make it family friendly.  The parade begins at 12 noon. Line up for the parade will begin at 11am at the Parker Hannifin parking lot.  The parade will travel down Main St. to the Memorial Dr. park entrance and will end in the park. (location tbd)   Kids ages 5 & up who participate will be invited to a “thank you for joining us” party on July 18th.  The party is for kids only.

 

MUSEUM outing – REGISTRATION AND TICKET PURCHASE REQUIRED
Thursday, June 25

The library is thrilled to partner with the Museum of Fulton County for this event.  During your museum visit, you will be touring  “Thirteen Moons in 1776 – Life along Turkeyfoot Creek” & participating in a historical workshop.   Tours times are 10am, 12noon, 2pm & 4pm.  Each time slot can accommodate a maximum of 20 children. Parents/Guardians will accompany their child on the exhibit tour, and during the workshop.  Tickets are $2 per person (Children & Adults).  The library is picking up the rest of the cost to cover activity materials and tours.  Please pay by check or cash to the library at the time of your registration.  You must register and purchase a ticket to attend this event. Your tour reservation will be secured with purchase of tickets.  Changes to your tour time are available as long as spots remain available.  No refunds for cancellation after  June 15th.

Paver Painting – Registration Required 
Wednesday, 7/15 @ 6pm, or Thursday 7/16 @ 10:30am

Registration Required for this event. Maximum of 25 participants per class.  Please contact us if you need to cancel, so that someone else can join in the fun.

 

Parade Party
Saturday 7/18 @ 10:30am

If your child (ages 5 and over)  rode in the parade with the library on 6/13, they will be invited to the Parade Party on 7/18.  We will be having a few snacks, and they will each get to make a stuffed animal to take home.

 

The Final Celebration and Awards Program will be
Wednesday, 7/22 @ 10:30am.

The program will start with Drummunity!, A fun hands-on drumming jam. After the jam, we will announce the grand prize winners, and you can pick up your prizes from the staff. This final program is for everyone.

 

Bingo Cards

Pre K & K – BINGO cards Complete all activities on your bingo card.  Turn it in at the circulation desk, and receive a small reward (sunglasses), and be entered into the drawing for the grand prizes.

1-5 & 6-8 – BINGO cards Get a bingo & receive a pair of sunglasses. Get a coverall and get a beach ball and be entered into the grand prize drawing. Only one bingo sheet per person. Each participant is eligible to earn 1 pair of sunglasses & 1 beach ball. Readers cannot combine squares on reading time. Each square is its own accomplishment. For readers who want to keep going, we have extra reading minutes sheets for you to earn up to 5 grand prize entries.

9-12 grade  Teens check out a book and get a scratch off card. One per week only. If they are an instant winner, they can choose a prize (prizes TBD). If it says try again, that ticket will be entered to win $50 cash.

Adults – check out a book and fill out a drawing slip. One entry per person.

All Bingo Cards & Grand Prize drawing entries are due at the library by Friday, July 17th at 5 pm.
