Play & Learn in the Harriet Room
The Harriet Loar Early Literacy Center provides a safe place for parents to help their toddlers and preschoolers learn and acquire early literacy skills. It is important to note that children are learning to enjoy literacy activities while they play. When children have a positive experience doing literacy activities, they will learn to love the library! But this is not just a fun place. There is a literacy skill hidden in every item, in every manipulative in the early literacy center.
